John Auld Edmiston

John Auld Edmiston was born in Pueblo, Colorado before moving with his family to Denver when he was young. He was active in sports at a young age and attended East High School. Once he graduated, he attended the University of Northern Colorado where he received a Bachelors Degree in Education. John loved the college life! He quickly joined Sigma Phi Epsilon and ran for Sophomore Class President. It was also during this time in which he found his true love, Joyce Flagg. They married in March of 1960 and although he had a teaching degree he soon found himself working in a bank as a teller, which then began his long career in banking. As he and Joy were starting their family his career took them to California before returning to Denver. Once retired from the banking industry, John and Joy "semi-retired" to Colorado Springs and became Real Estate agents. John had many interests and was an avid golfer. One of his greatest memories was playing The Augusta National Golf Club in 1979.
