John McCallum Hungerford

John McCallum Hungerford passed away peacefully in his home on January 9, 2016, in Monterey, California, with his wife Natalie at his side. He was born on July 5, 1924 in Okmulgee, OK, and spent his childhood in El Paso, TX. John and Natalie were married September 22, 1968 in Portola Valley, CA. John raised his family in Saratoga and Palos Verdes, California. John also is survived by seven children: Sean, Ryan, Justin, Aaron, John, Kathy and Linda, and fourteen grandchildren. He attended University of Colorado, Boulder, where he received a degree in electrical engineering. John was employed in Silicon Valley by Philco WDL, ESL and TRW. John will always be remembered for his unconditional love for his wife and devotion to his children. His optimism for life touched all who knew him. Prayer services will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at 5:00-7:00 pm at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero in Monterey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Carmel Presbyterian Church, Ocean & Junipero Ave, Carmel, California.
