Marine Veteran Master Gunnery Sergeant John M Kulick III, Age 76, of Port Charlotte, Florida went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2019. He was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a patient and loving father. John served over thirty years as a distinction Marine. He served in the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals. He also received the Meritorious Service Medal, serving in the Marine Expeditionary Force in Saudi Arabia. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. Surviving is his loving wife, Mary E Tierney-Kulick of Port Charlotte, Florida; daughter, Sabrina L Kulick-Kiang (Chih Kiang) of Fort Myers, son, Shane M Kulick of Port Charlotte, grandchildren Erica and Amanda Kiang of Fort Myers, Jessica, Ayden, Holden and Isabella of Port Charlotte, sister Mary Jane Breault (Jerry) in Higganum, Conn; brothers Richard Berthiaume (Flo) in Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Eugene Berthiaume (Kathy) in Smith Field, Rhode Island. Preceding him in death were his father, John M Kulick II (died in World War II); mother Antoinette Marcoux; stepfather Hector O Berthiaume; and his loving daughter Jodi L Kulick-Paxton. John loved his family and was fiercely protective of every one of them. He will be missed. In keeping with Dad's wishes, there was a small service held with family. Within the next couple of months. there will be a service at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. We will let everyone know when this has been schedule.
