John Charles McCormick

HAINES CITY, Florida - Mr. John C. McCormick of Haines City died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at George C Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida. He was 85. Born August 23, 1927, in Albany, New York, to John R. McCormick and Dorothy E. Adler, Mr. McCormick was a winter resident of Haines City for several years before moving there in 1993, from Albany, New York. He attended St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, where he was a sacristant, lector, and RCIA. He was a member of the Diocese of Orlando Synod, representative of St. Ann to PEACE. He was formerly a member of the Father DiOrio Healing Ministry in Albany, New York. He worked as an accountant. Mr. McCormick was predeceased by his parents and wife Dorothy J. McCormick. Mr. McCormick is survived by son, John McCormick of Albany, New York; daughters, Linda Turner of Alexandria, Virginia; Karen Glass of Albany, New York; Mary McCormick of Syracuse, New York; Dorothy Frustaglio of Escondido, California; Diane Lord of Henniker, New Hampshire; Kathleen Jones of Preston Hollow, New York; Colleen Tersigni, of Highland, New York; andDeborah Knight of Poway, California; sister, Dorothy Farrell of Cedar Park, Texas; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City. Father Robert W. Mitchell will officiate.
