John Myers

John Albert Myers was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all. John was born in Charleston, SC on April 27, 1944 to Frances (Upchurch) and John A. Myers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gayle; son, Todd Myers; daughter, Shyla Myers (Bob Gish); brother, Frank Myers (Laura); step brother, Rod Carroll (Kathryn); step sister, Sandy Carroll Harding (David); sister in law, Charlene Burt; nephews, Shawn Burt (Amy), Shelby Burt; niece Shannon Burt; and many other family and friends. John enjoyed traveling, home improvement projects, the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He served in the United States Army, 1966-1969. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
