July 14th, 1924 - April 9th, 2008
John B. O’Brian, 83, of Venice, Florida died Wednesday April 9, 2008. Mr. O’Brian was born on July 14, 1924 in Jackson, Michigan to William and Doris (Basinger) O’Brian. Mr. O’Brian was Vice- President of Personnel with Total Petroleum before retiring in 1981, and moving to Venice. He was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy with rank of Lieutenant JG. Mr. O’Brian was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia E. O’Brian Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Newcomb of Vail, AZ; his sons, Jay O’Brian of Chester, NH and Cameron O’Brian of Blue Hill, ME; his sister, Mary Clark, Peru, IN. Also survived by his 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Venice Presbyterian Church.
