John "Jack" J. Sheehan
December 29th, 1937 - May 6th, 2022
John J. “Jack” Sheehan, age 84, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on May 6, 2022. Jack was born December 29, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Michael F. and Anna (nee Lavin) Sheehan. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1956. Jack served in the Marines and continued serving his community as a Police Officer for the Chicago Police Department until he retired. During retirement Jack enjoyed some fishing and swimming and lots of golfing with friends and family. He will be remembered for his “direct approach” demeanor, good sense of humor, true kind heart, energetic smile and very good looks. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Maurice P. Sheehan, Michael F. Sheehan, and his sister Marie A. “Sis” Smith. He is survived by his loving nieces, nephew, and Godchildren, his close friends Randy and Debbie, and his longtime loving companion Gail Williams. A private funeral mass will be held. Family requests memorials be sent to diabetes.org the American Diabetes Association.
