Johnny Elias Lopez

Johnny Elias Lopez, 39, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a professional glazier, inventor, glass engraver, and healer.Johnny was born on June 24, 1982 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Johnny Alan Lopez and Chandra Leann Pesante. He was raised in Colorado Springs and attended Mitchell High School.He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to begin a career with his father in glass cutting. He was the inventor of the "Sure Dry Hanger", and was well known for his beautiful engraving and fabrication of glass chess tables. He also spent time in Albuquerque as a healer, positively impacting many people's lives through his healing work.Johnny was a man of faith who will be best remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his intellect, and his love of family.He is survived by his mother, Chandra Pesante; son, Johnny Lopez; daughters, Aalyah Lopez and Elias Lopez; brothers, Donny Lopez and Robert Pesante; sister, Esther Pesante, and his maternal grandfather, Leroy Lucero.A Celebration of Johnny's life will be held in August in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Johnny will be dearly missed.
