Johnny Jack “John” Sergent, 64, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. John was born in Ocala and lived here all of his life. He retired in September of 2020 from the Marion County School System after 35 years of service. He is survived by 2 sisters; Kathy Sheley of Ocala and Jenny Martin of Ocala, nephews Jim Sheley, Damon Thomas, and Daniel Thomas, niece Alison David, great nephew Cooper Sheley, and 5 great nieces; Amanda Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Brittney Thomas, Jennifer Thomas, and Danielle Thomas. He liked motorcycles, all aspects of music, being a drummer in jam sessions, and spending time with his many dear friends. John is described as a kind, generous, caring brother, uncle, and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
