Jonathan Christopher Sveom
December 8th, 1979 - May 9th, 2023
Jonathan Christopher Sveom (43) of Manitowoc, WI, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Jonathan, known as Jon by many family and friends, was born on December 8, 1979 in Green Bay, WI to Jon and Marlene (Zahn) Sveom. Jon was an inquisitive child, who enjoyed tinkering with electronics in order to discover their intricacies. As a teenager, Jon attended Luther Preparatory School in Watertown and he spent many enjoyable hours with his friends in the dormitories. After high school, Jon lived a short time in Minoqua, where he met many new friends. After he moved back to Fort Atkinson, Jon worked at St. Coletta’s. During this time, he met his future wife, Cindi Fraiser. Jon and Cindi quickly became friends and they were married on August 23, 2003. Jon was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed the time he spent working in the service industry, whether it was delivering for Pizza Hut, repairing computers as part of the Geek Squad, or managing an office at an auto body shop. Jon especially loved spending time with his four children. He spent many hours hunting with Chloe, building and racing pinewood cars with Caleb, watching Joci compete in gymnastics, and throwing the football and fishing with Jacob. Jon and his family spent many summer weekends by the fire, camping and fishing. Some of Jon’s other hobbies included repairing computers and electronics, flying drones, and driving and repairing RC cars. Jon was a caring and gentle man. He absolutely loved babies, who always looked so small in his large hands. Jon had a great sense of humor. He was always joking around and loved to make people laugh. Jon is survived by his children Chloe, Caleb, Jocelyn, and Jacob, their mother and his best friend Cindi Sveom, parents Jon and Marlene Sveom, siblings Steve (Michelle) Sveom, Chrystal (Lucas) Moldenhauer, Mike Sveom, and Angela (Jeff) Schram, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Jon maintained a close relationship with the Fraiser family and was especially close with Cindi’s brother Mike and his children. Jon is preceded in death by two unborn children, and his grandparents, Marvin and Dorothy Sveom, and Harold and Helene Zahn. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00am at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave. Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. Friends may come to the visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00am until the time of service. As an expression of sympathy you may wish to consider memorials to the family.

We Entrusted Jonathan Sveom's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
