Jose Piñon

March 3rd, 1944 - August 20th, 2024

José Ruben Pinon was born on March 3, 1944 in Jerome AZ to parents, Lawrence, and Encarnacion Pinon. He passed away on August 20, 2024 in Wheat Ridge Co.  He’s survived by his siblings Lawrence, Cleo, Daniel, Jerry, and John. He also had many nieces and nephews. He was raised in commerce city, Co where he attended public schools. In the early 1970’s he graduated from UNC in Greeley Co, and later received his masters at CU in Boulder, Co.  He worked as an educator and was a School teacher for thirty five years. After retirement he spent most of his time at the Golden Public Library, and at the Golden Recreation Center. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with friends. 

His Memorial Service will be at Calvary Church at 1320 Arapahoe St., Golden Co. at 2PM. A parking garage is available adjacent from the Church. Following a reception serving hors d’oeuvres, cake, and refreshments.
