Joseph G. Berube, 75 of North Port, Florida passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 in Arcadia, Florida. Joseph was born December 12, 1932 in Andover, MA the son of the late Michael and Armoza (Cote) Berube. Mr. Berube worked for AT & T located in North Andover for 30 years until his retirement. He was a Catholic, served with the United States Army from 1951 – 1955 spending two years in Germany. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Joan; daughter Diane Provencher of Derry, NH; son Mark Berube of Salem, NH; daughters Renee Privertera of Haverhill, MA, Donna Dumais of Salem, NH, and Pamela Turmel of Medford, MA; sisters Rita Lambert and Claire Fitzgerald both of North Port, Florida; brothers Maurice Berube of North Port, FL and Richard Berube of Palm Harbor, FL and seven grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by one brother Raymond Berube. A service will be held for Joseph at a later date with burial to be at St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph’s name to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
