Joseph Patrick Tovrea (Joe), reunited with Our Lord the morning of Monday, March 6, 2017. Joseph was born December 25, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents John Samuel Tovrea and Mary Ann Elizabeth Tovrea. He was one of four brothers and one sister. Joseph was a devote Catholic and will be fondly remembered as being kind to everyone. Joseph served honorably as Private First Class (PFC) in the United States Army. He continued to embody military values throughout his life. He was retired from the City and County of Denver, Department of Human Services. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in social work from Metro State College. The mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Francis Cabrini Parish (6673 W Chatfield Ave, Littleton, CO 80128) on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Joseph Tovrea’s interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236- staging area A) on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Joseph Tovrea’s name to a charitable organization of choice.
