Joshua James Lorber

Joshua James Lorber passed away February 16, 2021 at the age of 44. He was the devoted father of two young boys, who were the joy and light of his life. Joshua was born in Colorado Springs in 1976 and lived in various parts of the world as his father was a career Air Force Officer.Joshua enlisted in the Air Force where he served as a firefighter and soon after his military career ended, honorably, he chose to travel to Hungary, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan to work as a civilian contractor. Upon arriving back to the United States, Joshua joined the family of firefighters at Cheyenne Mountain Fire Department where he continued his service to his country.He was devoted to family, a trait he inherited from his parents. The real joy of his life was being the proud father of two boys. His days off were dedicated to teaching and showing his boys all life has to offer. Joshua enjoyed the great outdoors and spent many days hiking with his sons. Joshua is survived by his two young sons, Liam and Aiden; his parents, General (Retired) John and Susan Lorber of Colorado Springs; brothers, Adam (Mindy) Lorber and Derek Lorber; sister, Amber (Scott) Foth; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Australia.A private Visitation will be held at 3:00PM, Monday February 22, 2021. Attendees will be capped at 75 people and masks/facial coverings are required.
