Joslyn C. Lewis was born August 27, 1921 in Mardi Gras, St. Paul’s, Grenada, West Indies to the late Leonora and Elias Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera W. Lewis. Joslyn was called home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2013. In addition to his beloved wife, he was also preceded in death by his Siblings: Merlyn, Clare, Barbara, Erminetrude, Rita, Allan, Emmanuel, and Crispin. Survivors include his Children: Paul, Angus, Michael, Sekou, Denise and Nicole; Brothers: Ewart, Albert and Cipriani; Sister-in-laws: Ruby, Venice and Irma; Grandchildren: Kizzy, Kurtis, Asha, Makala, Candice, Anthony, Craig, Andre, Danielle, Layla and Austin; Great-grandchildren: Naima, Ja’Kyia, A’nari, Kymani and Kiana; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joslyn worked for the Public Works in Grenada with his father, where they came up with a stackable chair design for the school system and they were responsible for building church pews as well. After he migrated to United States he resided in Bronx, New York and later relocated to North Port, Florida where he continued with his carpentry trade until he retired. He enjoyed photography, gardening, sports, politics and traveling especially his cruises with his wife, family and friends.
