Joyce Marilyn Reedy, 73 of Floodwood, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. The daughter of August and Amanda Dahlin, Joyce was born on May 4, 1933 in St. Paul, MN. Joyce married Lawrence Reedy on February 12, 1953 in St. Paul. Joyce was a member of Floodwood Assemblies of God Church in Floodwood. Because of her deep love of children, Joyce provided foster care for St. Louis County for a number of years. She enjoyed singing, flower gardening, spending time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered as having the gift of making everyone welcome in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lawrence of Floodwood; her children, Ruth Reedy of Floodwood, Lawrence (Penny) Reedy, Jr. of Ely, Christine (Michael) Steinfeldt of Grafton, ND, Debra (Mike) Rambo of Aurora, CO, Darlene (Eugene) Autio of Grand Rapids, Donna Hakala of Cloquet and Tim (Tammy) Reedy of Spooner, WI; 11 grandchildren, Katie Faust, Amanda (Jeremy) Moberg, Breanna, Haylie and Carly Steinfeldt, Erin and Ethan Autio, Benjamin Reedy, and Curtis, Jamis, and Skylar Hakala; 1 great granddaughter, Summer Joy Moberg; a son-in-law, Herman Hakala of Cromwell and extended family Marlene (Roger) Morrison of Duluth. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 2006 in the Floodwood Assemblies of God Church. Burial was in Cedar Valley Cemetery, Cedar Valley Township.
