Juanita Colleen Tucker

Juanita Colleen Tucker, 89, of Cloquet, passed away in her home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born to Harold and Gail Hedlund on July 7, 1934 in Knoxville, Iowa. Juanita graduated from Packwood High, where she loved playing the cornet. Juanita worked at a glove factory between high school and marriage. Her marriage to Paul Tucker took place on June 28, 1953. Their ministerial life lead them from several small churches in Iowa to Mexico, back to Iowa, British Guiana, Trinadad, Barbados, Granada, Atlanta, GA, Libertyville, IA, Fairfield, IA, Batavia, IA, Duluth, MN, Shawnee, OK then Ellsworth, WI, and Wrenshall, MN. Juanita and Paul were part of the founding members of The International Association of Ministries. They spent their last months together in Cloquet, MN. Her hobbies included quilting, being a seamstress, gardening and birdwatching, and being a church musician. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved. One dish which all will remember are “Grandma’s Famous Homemade Noodles.” She loved her pets. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul R.Tucker Sr; parents, Harold and Gail Hedlund; siblings, John, Kathryn, Beverly, Betty, Karen; and 2 great-grandchildren. Juanita is going to be missed by her sister, Rebecca Droz; children, Paul Tucker, Colleen (John) Smith, Steven (Annette) Tucker; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial offerings be sent to “Spirit Power Ministry” so that support for various mission work can continue, which was their parents legacy. Spirit Power Ministries, 1215 14th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720. Visitation: Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Redemption Ministries of Duluth, 2701 W. 3rd Street, Duluth, MN 55806.
