Judith Ann Rasmussen, 79, of Las Vegas, passed away October 29, 2016. Judith was born June 15, 1937 in Menomonie WI to the late Edith and Bernhardt Dinnies. Judith demonstrated grace, dignity, faith, and quiet strength. She was a loving wife and mother who always put others first. A great cook, Judith was known for her lemon bars, brownies, beef and pea pods, and fried fish. She loved to read, travel, sit in the sun, shop, and spend time with friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Wes Rasmussen; siblings Donn (Mary Lee) Dinnies and Mary Quilling; children Steve (Michelle) Rasmussen, Debbie (Jay) Pearsall, Tom (Cheryl) Rasmussen and Kathy Jo (Rob) Beery; grandchildren Erik (Marina) Pearsall. Lynndon (Claire) Hecker, Michael (Kristen) Pearsall, Caleigh Rasmussen, Dan Rasmussen, Leigha Rasmussen, Molleigh Rasmussen, Mitchell Rasmussen, Grant Beery, Taylor Beery; and great grandchildren Kylie, Brayden, Evie, Sophia, Lexie , Eleanor, Raeleigh, Jackson and Kiara. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis MN on Monday, November 14, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89134. Having known Judy and Wes, since they arrived in Las Vegas many years ago, I have been graced with knowing a beautiful lady. Wes, Steve, Debbie, Tom & Kathy Jo I don't know the single most painful moment in life then to learn someone so special in your life is gone. What was written about Judy was well done - she was always smiling and doing things for others. I thought growing up I was special because I got to have Judy and Wes as my God parents. The problem is, I never thought there would be a Wes without the Judy. Wes, when my mom died your presence made everything seem like things were going to be ok. I had a horrible time letting go of Judy when she gave me a hug before she left. I told her I didn't want to let go, I had lost all my parents and I was afraid of loose her and Wes. Her response was I will be ok, that those who gone are never far away. They are in our memories and in the lives of our siblings and cousins. We had all the films my dad took over the years with the that camera with the obnoxiously bright lights transferred electronically. I have been watching the films of our families over and over Every picture of Judy showed her smiling. I am very thankful to have the best memories of your family and especially thankful to have gotten a hug by Judy and told she loved me. I am sorry for the passing of Judy and will keep each of you in my prayers. Pldease let me know if there is anything I can do. Connie Sue

🕯️ Aunt Judy you are going to be so missed! Thank you for letting me stay at the cabin when I was growing up! There were so many weekend trips to go snowmobiling in the winter or to be out in the water laying on innertubes! You taught me how to play solitaire and to read romance novels. I wonder how many pans of brownies you made! I love you and will miss you so much! Say hi to to everyone already in heaven because I know you had a direct flight up!
