CARMEL, CA - Judy was born in Pittsburg in 1951 to Eileen and James G. Murray, Jr. She was the fifth of six siblings, five of whom were sisters. Early on, her mischievous tomboy spirit endeared Judy to her beloved brother, Jerry. The Murray family moved to Rome, Italy in 1957. Judy attended school at Trinita dei Monti and Marymount, becoming fluent in Italian and French. In 1966, the Murray family returned to the States, settling in Carmel, where Judy attended Santa Catalina School. She graduated from USC in 1974, then earned her masters degree from Thunderbird School of International Business in Arizona. She moved to Caracas, Venezuela, pursuing a career in brand management. In 1979, Judy married Joe Allrich and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Helen and Christin. They first lived in Chicago, then Southern California, Wisconsin, and in 1996, they finally settled in Carmel. Judy played competitive tennis and was a devoted member of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Garden Club, winning many prestigious awards for her floral arrangements. Judy was also an artist who loved color, working with her hands, painting and creating whimsical sculpture. She also loved to travel with friends and family.
