Judy Chandler Robbins

GASTON-Mrs. Judy Chandler Robbins, 65, of Gaston, passed away November 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services for Judy will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Driggers officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Tony Rodgers, Randy Jackson, Robin Jackson, Chuck Chauncey, George Lyons and Ben Jackson. Born in Columbia, SC, Judy was a daughter to Robert and Florrie Jackson Chandler. She was a graduate of Columbia High School, she was a member of the Eastern Star and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Survivors include her parents; spouse, Kenneth Robbins; daughter, Kristie Leigh Hood of Gaston; son, Robbin William Hood of Gaston; sisters, Debbie (Matt) Elliott of Gilbert, Nancy (Mike) Jeffcoat of Lexington; grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla Hood, Jackson and Randa Dukes; great-grandchildren, Leighton Hood; Nephews, Andy (Tonya) Dinkins and Wayne (Jennifer) Whiteside. The family would like extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care and compassion they showed while taking care of Judy during her sickness. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family.
