June 17th, 1925 - June 15th, 2014
LEXINGTON—Funeral services for June White Baker, 88, of Lexington, will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Reverend Vernon Bauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers, Wayne Kleckley, Brooks Baker, Richard Baker, Trey Whitmire, Zack Baker, Austin Baker, Garrett Kleckley, and Justin Kleckley. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, June 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Baker, beloved wife of 32 years to the late Robert Brooks Baker, Sr., passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Born June 17, 1925 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late George Edward White and Gladys Inez Tanner White. June attended Columbia schools and St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. She was most recently affiliated with St. Andrews Evangelical Church. She was the long-time Manager of The Trading Post in the Oak Grove community. Surviving are her children, Christine M. Whitmire of Lexington, Brooks Baker of Lexington, Vickie Baker Kleckley (Wayne) of Lexington and Richard E. Baker (Crystal) of Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Graham Wiley White (Betty) of West Columbia; she is also survived by a large and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son, Micheal Gary Baker, one sister and two brothers.
