Karen Jennifer Fisher

Lovingly known as Ma K, Karen Jennifer Fisher was born October 21, 1962, in San Jose, California, the daughter of James and Patricia (Knabe) Wise. God called her home on January 1, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Karen graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins. She played clarinet, participated in church activities, and enjoyed her time in the youth conservation corp at Rocky Mountain National Park. After graduating, Karen joined the United States Army.Karen loved her family and her new role as a grandma. She often took her loved ones on trips and vacations. She had a love for the outdoors, including camping, fishing, hiking, and hunting. She taught us to appreciate the beauty of this world. She loved to read, cook, walk her dog and go on adventures. After devoting many years to her children, Karen graduated in 2005 from Trinidad State Junior College as a registered nurse. Over the years, Karen has worked at a few different facilities. She was employed by Advanced Health Care of Colorado Springs at the time of her passing. She loved and cared for all of her patients and colleagues. She touched so many lives over the years. She had a one of a kind love for all who crossed her path. Karen will be remembered as a loving, caring woman who devoted her life to helping others and taking care of her family. She was compassionate, gracious, giving, and kind. She had a way of making life so sweet for so many. Her kindhearted spirit and beautiful smile will never be forgotten. She is survived by her parents, James and Patricia Wise; brother, Rob Wise; partner, Steve Allison; children, Megan (Malcolm) Antonio, Anthony Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, and Alyssa (Ceshay) Pacheco; stepdaughters, April Allison and Stephanie Allison; her close friend, Gilbert Fisher; the Fisher family; and her three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lacey, and Gabriel. Her brother, Jimmy Wise, preceded her in death. Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
