Karen Sue Parchem, 81 of Cromwell passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in her home. She was born August 13, 1939 in Cloquet to Edmond and Murtle Delong. Karen graduated from Cloquet High School in 1957. She attended cosmetology school in Duluth. On June 6, 1964 she married Henry Parchem in St. Paul. They made their home in Cloquet where Karen had her own beauty salon, Karen's Beauty Nook. They moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in the 1990's and she continued working as a beautician. After her husband passed away in 2019, Karen returned to the Cloquet area. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Karen enjoyed camping, golfing and snowmobiling. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Skip" and two sisters, Irene Larson and Audrey Olbekson. She is survived by four children, Pat (Jolayne "Jo") Parchem of Mora, Terrie (Cortland) Roe of Cromwell, Susan Parchem Sloan of Cape Coral, FL, and Tim (Rhonda) Parchem of Talbott, TN; sister, Mona Seyler of Henderson, NV; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
