Katherine K. Henderson, age 85, of Venice, Florida, passed away on May 4, 2008. She was born on October 24, 1922 in Mansfield, New York. She was a Registered Nurse and Homemaker. She moved to Venice in 1988 from Newburgh, New York and attended Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim; children, Nina Altman of Tacoma, Washington, Michael of Newburgh, New York, Mark of Cornwall, New York and Daniel of Newburgh, New York; two sisters, Florence Perkowski of Clifton Park, New York and Eleanor Hickok of Latham, New York. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 11:00AM at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall, New York. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Sarasota/DeSoto Unit, 2801 Fruitville Road, suite 250, Sarasota, Florida 34237. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
