Kathleen "Kathy" Alett Lupella

It is with great sadness that we announce that Kathleen “Kathy” Alett Lupella, 68, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away August 6, 2024.

She is survived by her two children, Victoria (Roger) Dye and Karl Krieger; sister Ramona Horten; and brothers, Glenn Horten and Steven Horten; along with nieces and nephews.

She completed an Associate’s Degree and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved Colorado Springs and was happiest surrounded by family and friends, long-time companion, Eddy Gribanow, and her two cats, Tank and Samuel. She had a passion for poetry and as an avid reader, had a collection of books ranging from Christian topics to mysteries. Kathy also enjoyed dancing, cooking, fishing, and growing vegetables. She was a great cook and was adept at cookies and apple pies.

She especially enjoyed traveling and visiting her siblings in California and Florida and her daughter in New Mexico. Kathy had a generous heart and was always concerned about the welfare of others. She continuously helped friends and strangers in need. If anyone ever needed a hug, Kathy was there for them.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends and the countless people whose lives she touched. Kathy, we love you and miss you. Another angel has gone to heaven.
