Kathryn Elizabeth Angell, 84 of Cloquet died Monday, May 19, 2008 in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born August 28, 1923 in Cloquet to William and Lizzie (Smith) Sarette. Kathryn graduated from Cloquet High School in 1942. She married LeRoy Angell on August 18, 1945 in Cloquet. Kathryn was an avid bridge player. She was instrumental in starting Pinewood Learning Center and Pinewood Homes and served on their Boards. Kathryn was a member of Cloquet Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her husband, daughter, Susan and brother and sister-in-law. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; brothers, Peter and William "Buck" Sarette; and sister-in-law, Betty Halverson. She is survived by her son, Lee Alan Angell of Moose Lake; daughters, Susan Angell of Hermantown, and Kathy (Dr. Michael McGowan) Angell of Minneapolis; brother, Fred (Arella) Sarette of Fridley; sister-in-law Winifred Sarette of Duluth; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 23, 2008 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street in Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship followed in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
