Katie May Taylor Clements of Davenport, Florida passed away on July 12, 2024. She was 63.

She was born on May 15, 1961, in Bakersfield, California to Herman and Ivory Taylor and at the age of 8, she and her family moved to Davenport, Florida.

Katie was employed as a housekeeping supervisor for several local hotels and was a 30-year member of Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Davenport. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, writing poems and songs, and taking care of her many animals (her favorite being her pet turtle named Sheldon). Katie loved her family, whether it was spending time with them up in the mountains of Alabama, going to the beach, or just at her home playing with all the grandchildren where she was the biggest kid!

She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Ivory; daughter-in-law, Rita Clements; siblings, Zenith Taylor and Phillip Taylor. Katie is survived by her husband, of 44 years, James E. Clements; children, James E. Clements, Jr. of Davenport, Jason Michael Clements of Davenport, Odie Renee Fosburgh and her husband, Bruce of Clermont, Florida, Jamey Michael Clements and his wife, Brandi of Davenport, Shirley Darlene Tatman and her husband, David of Lake Wales, Florida; siblings, Truby Culbertson, James Taylor, Pearl Abbott, Kirby Taylor, Faye Gilley; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Maykanna, Bryar, Corey, Logan, Craig, Tristan, Jamie, Gracie, Hunter, Madison and Anthony; great grandchildren, Braelynn, Charlotte, Kenley, Brantley, Waylon, Layton, Easton, Johnny, Alecia, Millie May, Hunter, Kinsley, Delilah and King.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 11:00 am until the funeral at 12 noon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport
