Keith Dwight Olson

Keith Dwight Olson, 35 of Cromwell passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in 1973 to Dwight and Kathy Olson. Keith graduated from Cromwell High School and Staples Area Vocational School with a degree as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for McNamara Construction in Rosemount and was currently employed for Northland Constructors in Duluth. Keith was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers 49B. Keith enjoyed "anything outdoors" including snowmobiling in Minnesota and out west, four-wheeling, hunting in Minnesota and Montana and riding his new custom bike he built and he especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Chase. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Milton Olson and Edward Karki. Keith is survived by his four year old son, Chase; his parents, Dwight and Kathy Olson of Cromwell; sister, Carol (Brett) Tamminen of Inver Grove Heights; maternal grandmother, Ruth Karki of Cromwell; paternal grandmother, Irene Olson of Kettle River; goddaughter and niece, Ericka Tamminen; nephew, Blake Tamminen and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The family would like to thank Tony Aho for being with Keith the night of the accident, the First Responders, St. Mary's Lifeflight; Aunt MariBeth Olson for her love and support and the staff on St. Mary's 8th Floor Neuro Trauma Center. Memorial Services were held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Bethany Lutheran Church, Cromwell.
