Kelly Joe Labrador

Kelly Joe Labrador, 35, of Eastover, South Carolina passed away April 3, 2017 at McLeod Regional Medical Center Florence, South Carolina. He was born on July 7, 1981 in Columbia, South Carolina to Tomas Labrador Jr. and Kathy (O'Kelly) Paul. Kelly loved nothing more than being a father. His children were the light of his life. Kelly also had a great love of the outdoors and his passion was fishing. It was well known to all of his family and friends that if you wanted to catch anything, don't go fishing with Kelly. He would have a stringer full of fish and all you would have is a sunburn. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the Carolina Gamecocks. Kelly enjoyed grilling out and spending time with family and friends. He will forever be remembered affectionately as "The Grill Master". Kelly is survived by his three beautiful children; Keltin Mathew Labrador, Jaley Marie Labrador both of Eastover SC and Nicholas Caden Richer of Abbeville, SC, parents, Kathy (O'Kelly) and Philip Paul of Eastover and Tomas Jr. and Carla Labrador of Hopkins, SC, brother: Ryan Labrador of Columbia, SC, Tomas Labrador III of Nashville TN, Johnny Swiney (Heather) of Lexington SC, and Jason Dawson of Elgin, SC, sisters: Heather Barefoot (Michael) of Eastover SC, Candice Rabon (Roy Jr.) of Hopkins, SC, Jessica Brassell of Columbia, SC and Angel Karch (Charles) of Elgin SC. He is also survived by his Grandfather, Tomas Labrador, Sr. of Columbia, SC, 9 nieces, 5 nephews, 1 great nephew and countless aunts, uncles and cousins whom he adored. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Joseph and Mary Wilson O'Kelly and Maria Esperanza Labrador. An open visitation for Kelly will be at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, from April 8, 2017 until time of the service. The family will receive friends at McLeod United Methodist Church, 11640 Garners Ferry Road, Eastover, SC 29044 on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 4:00PM - 5:00PM.
