Kenneth “Kenny” A. Obney, 75, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Venice, Florida, passed away at his home on December 26th, 2023. Kenny was born on October 8th, 1948, in East Liverpool, Ohio. Kenny was a Vietnam Veteran and served our Country as a SGT in the United States Army. He also worked as a General Manager for National Church Envelope & Supply Co., Inc. for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Helen A. Obney; sisters, Debbie Obney and Shirley A. Nix. Kenny is survived by his sons, Craig A. Obney of Sarasota, FL, Christopher J. (daughter-in-law, Dena Obney) Obney of Venice, FL, and Kyle N. Obney of Port Charlotte, FL; grandson, Caleb Obney of Venice, FL; brother, James “Jim” Obney of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Nix of Ft. Myers, FL. A Committal Service will be held at 9:30AM, Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241. Funeral Arrangements handled by Farley Funeral Home, Venice, Florida.
