Kieran was a well-known realtor in North Port, as well as a 40 year friend of Bill W. Kieran was born on July 25, 1939 in Yonkers, New York to Margaret (Troy) Loughman of County Waterford, Ireland and Kyran Loughman of County Leich, Ireland. Kieran graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, New York in 1957 and graduated from Fordham University in 1963. In 1963 Kieran married the love of his life, Cecelia (Gallivan) of Quincy, Massachusetts, and together they had five children whom they raised in Quincy and then Hingham, Massachusetts. Kieran enjoyed a long and successful career in Boston as a stockbroker with firms including Dean Witter, Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns, where he was a managing director. In 2004 Kieran and Cecelia moved to North Port where he embarked on a second career in real estate. Several years ago Kieran discovered his talent for and love of karaoke, becoming a fixture on the local circuit as “Elvis” Loughman. Kieran’s love of karaoke was rivaled only by his love for his wife, his family, his work, and for the sports teams of Boston and New England. Kieran brought passion and humor to everything he did. Kieran is survived by his wife, Cecelia, his children, Kristen (Panzer), Sean, Mark, Michael, and Lauren; his son-in-law John Panzer, and his grandchildren Kara, Taigh, Madden, and Chloe Panzer; his sisters, Elizabeth (Joseph) Peto of Johnstown Il, Patricia (Hugh) Goley of Fort Myers, FL and Kathleen Loughman of Hamburg, NJ; his sister-in-law Marie (Gallivan) Fox of Bow, NH, and his many nieces and nephews. Kieran was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, June 14 at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
