Laddie Anthony Suchan, 89 of North Port, FL passed away November 29, 2008. Laddie was born June 15, 1919 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Frank and Mary (Krcmarik) Suchan. He came to North Port in 1980 from Berwyn, IL. He was the owner the Hawthorne News Agency for 40 years located in Cicero, IL until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society at San Pedro, he was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus in both Illinois and Florida, member of the Holy Name Society, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He is survived by his loving wife Alyce, daughters, Kathleen Betinis of North Port, FL and Theresa Zufan of Brookfield, IL; son, Gregory Suchan of Berwyn, IL; sister, Adeline Simanek of Forestview, IL; grandchildren, Mary, George, and Greg Betinis and Elric and Damien Zufan, and five great grandchildren.
