Laura Susan Devine

Laura Susan Devine went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She was a loving daughter, wife, wonderful mother, and a beloved friend to many. Laura was born on May 19, 1959, in Denver, Colorado to Ronald and Doris Jean (Wagner) Merryman. She grew up in Morrison, Colorado and was a 1977 graduate of Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colorado. She attended Holly Hills Bible Church in Denver and graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. She married Michael James Devine on June 28, 1980 at Holly Hills Bible Church where her father was pastor. She was a ladies Bible study teacher, involved in mission ministries and was a gifted vocalist and pianist. She wrote music and used her giftedness in the local church. She also enjoyed writing literature and poetry in addition to music.She took pleasure in homeschooling her three daughters, particularly teaching them to walk in Christ. Laura will be best remembered for her radiant spirit, strong heart, and steadfast devotion to her family.Laura is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughters, Elizabeth, Kimber, and Annalise; her father, Ronald (Sandra) Merryman; her mother, Doris Jean Merryman; her brothers, Mark (Shirley) Merryman of Littleton, Colorado and Benjamin (Breanna) Merryman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her sister, Teresa (Eric) Greene of Peyton, Colorado.Visitation, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, August 5, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
