Laura Yvette Nevarez
July 2nd, 1959 - March 26th, 2014
Laura was a dedicated and loving mother and wife who had a relentless faith in Christ. She was the embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman, fun-spirited, energetic, and beautiful in every way. Her life exhibited her love for music, nature, and life. Laura had a special way of gathering people with her hospitality and wonderful cooking. Her wisdom was seen in her teaching, and she passionately sought the truth. Laura was born July 2, 1959 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Donald and Marina DeLoux. She died March 26, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She leaves behind to remember and honor her legacy her loving husband Max A. Nevarez, Jr., MD; her beloved children; sons: Jordan Waller, Max Antonio Nevarez III, Mario (Stephanie) Nevarez, and Rob (Terri) Nevarez; daughters: Sarah Nevarez, Nicole (Phillip) Kelley, Lauren (Ryan) Kollasch, and Jovonne Nevarez; her eight Grandchildren; her father, Donald E. DeLoux, and her mother, Marina C. Linn. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2014 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Radiant Church, 4020 Maizeland Road, Colorado Springs, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Laura's memory may be made to Hope and Home to honor her love of family and children.
