Laurel Hayden Jones, 88, of Venice, Florida passed away January 2, 2007. Laurel was born April 2, 1918 in Durham, Maine. He moved to Venice in 1962 from Gray, Maine. He was a Real Estate Investor and a member of the Nazarene Church in Venice. He is survived by three children, two sons, Dr. Gary W. Jones of Manchester, Connecticut and Dr. Gregory H. Jones of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Faith Highfield of Venice, Florida, three brothers, Rev. Irving of Oklahoma, Dr. Harold Jones of Maine, and Dr. Floyd Jones of Virginia, one sister Winaford Moore of New York, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Jones on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Laurel’s name to the Eastern Nazarene College Scholarship Fund, in the name of Laurel and Monty Jones, 23 East Elm Avenue, In care of the Development Office, Quincy, Massachusetts, 02170
