Lauren Elizabeth Creasman WEST COLUMBIA: Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of the life of Lauren Elizabeth Creasman, 22, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Rd., Lexington, SC. Burial services will follow at 3:30pm at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery in Dana, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at the funeral home. Lauren passed away Dec. 28 after her courageous battle with endocarditis. Born in Columbia on June 20, 1989, and raised in Durham, NC and West Columbia, SC. Lauren graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School and was a student at the University of South Carolina, majoring in public relations and fashion merchandising. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in West Columbia. Always vivacious and caring, Lauren was a lover of music, art, animals and life. Her enlivening spirit, comical personality, strong will and bright smile made her the constant center of attention and lit up the lives of her family and many friends. Lauren was the daughter of Carolyn Wilson Creasman and the late J. Glenn Creasman. She was the beloved granddaughter of David A. (d) and Jeanette B. Wilson of Andrews, SC. She was predeceased by grandparents Jesse A. and Allie E. Creasman of Asheville, NC. She is survived by her brother Garrett Glenn Creasman, her "adopted" brother Aaron K. Smith, her adored dog Sophie, as well as countless close friends. Special thanks are given to the caring staff at Lexington Medical Center, especially Dr. Amy Epps, Dr. Natalie Cauthen, Dr. Sarkis Derderian and Dr. Will Yarborough.
