Lawrence "Boz" Thomas Dahl, 71 of Cloquet passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. He was born October 9, 1949 in Cloquet to Lawrence and Dorothy (Spengler) Dahl. He grew up in Cromwell and graduated from Cromwell High School in 1968. In October of that year, Larry enlisted in the Navy and served his country until November of 1970. He spent six months in Viet Nam. After his discharge, he returned to Cromwell and worked in logging. He also worked for various construction companies and for 28 years at Northland Construction before retiring. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. Larry married Peggy Suhonen on August 2, 1975. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Curtis and Gregory; nephew, Craig Dahl; and brother-in-law, Lyle Jokinen. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy; brothers, Joe (Gail) Dahl of Cromwell, Patrick (Jill) Dahl and Tim (Barb) Dahl both of Wright; sister, Cindy Jokinen of Sawyer; many nieces and nephews; and his best buddy, Bo. A drive through visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. A family only in-person memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. From the funeral home parking lot, other family and friends can listen to the service on FM 98.3. A video recording of the service will be available on the funeral home website later that afternoon.
