Lee Von Mercer

November 27th, 1938 - August 31st, 2024

Lee Von Mercer 85 of Ocala, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home.

He was born on November 27, 1938 and raised in Chipley, Florida and graduated from high school in Greenville, Florida. Upon graduation, he joined the US Army and served for 3 years. He then settled in Ocala where he started “Tops of Ocala” where he was a roofing contractor for 25 years. He was a proud member of The Elks Club, a Shriner, and was a Mason.

Lee loved his family and friends and believed those were the two most important things you can have in life and if you have that, you have riches. He always had a story to tell- some good and some not so good. Everyday he believed you chose to have a good day or not.

He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Mercer.

Lee is survived by his children Rhonda (Louie) Sapia, Ocala, Florida; Rachel (Tony) Sherouse, Ocala, Florida; Russell (Nicole) Mercer, Tallahassee, Florida, grandchildren Katie Sapia, Ocala, Fl; Abbey Williamson, Ocala, Florida; Logan (Emily) Sherouse, Tallahassee, Florida; Hannah Mercer, Tallahassee, Florida; Grace Mercer, Tampa, Florida; Great grandchildren Turner and Quinn Williamson, Ocala, Florida; brother O.L.
