Leon Harold Susalla, age 75, of Venice, FL passed away on March 2, 2024. He was born to Harold and Elizabeth Susalla in Detroit, Michigan on May 16, 1948, and moved to the Venice area in 2005 from Dearborn, Michigan. Leon was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a golfer at Rotonda, a karaoke enthusiast (and performer), former board member at Fantasy Island Condominiums in Englewood, a Corvette Club member and a patent holder. Surviving family members include his wife, Susan TenBroeck, of Venice; daughter Anna Macura (Matt) and her children Amelia and Grant Macura of Loveland, Ohio; sister Judy Mazure (Laverne) of Howell, MI; brother Wayne Susalla (Sherry) of Ruth, MI; stepchildren Christina Barr and Jennifer Barr and their children William and Aiden Bush, and James, Maya, Thorne, and Margot Swift. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Mike and Ronald Susalla. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on March 8th at 10 am.
