Leonard Edward Lind, 77, of Barnum passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 in Essentia Health Hospital in Moose Lake. He was born on October 4, 1945 in Carlton, Minnesota to Paul and Alice Lind. Once Leonard graduated from High School, he joined the army in 1965. Leonard was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge (1st Award), 2 O/S Bars, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 1960, Marksman (Rifle M-14), and 1st Class Gunners Badge (M-60 MG) for his service. After the army Leonard started truck driving until he retired. Leonard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and four-wheeling. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul Lind Jr and Dave Lind; sisters, Clarice Beise and Phyllis Ashmore. He is survived by his brother, Steve Lind; special friend, Linda Werner. Per Leonard’s request there will be no services at this time. Burial will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery with honors at a later date.
