Lieselotte "Liese" S. Jeter

September 30th, 1933 - March 27th, 2023

BLYTHEWOOD – Mrs. Lieselotte (Liese) Stuber Jeter, wife of Linton Carter (LC) Jeter, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2023. Born in Roigheim, Germany to Berta & Karl Stuber, she met and married her husband LC while he was stationed in Germany. In addition to her parents, Liese was also preceded in death by her sisters Anneliese, Brunn-Hilda and Sonja, a brother Egon and a beloved son Ricky Jeter. Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, Linton Carter (LC) Jeter of the home; sons Jurgen and Patrick Jeter, and a granddaughter Brittany Nicole Jeter and a brother in Germany, Herman Stuber. Liese traveled alone to America in 1960, meeting and living with her new American family until her LC was able to join her. She was a strong but humble woman of faith as she endured the travels as a military wife and the anxiousness known only to these women as their husbands served their country at war. Liese was very dedicated to her husband and family. She loved growing African violets, Christmas cactus and an abundance of beautiful flowers in her yard. She was an expert at crochet and won a premium ribbon for her work at the SC State Fair. Liese also completed by hand a cathedral window quilt when none of the others completed theirs. An excellent cook, family and friends frequently enjoyed homemade Spatzle, Rouladen, schnitzel and german potato salad. She was an avid swimmer and strived to maintain her health in envious activities of walking and water aerobics. Liese loved all and all loved Liese! While we are deeply saddened at losing her, we know she will be waiting for us at Heavens gates and fellowships with loved ones who now rejoice with her – she is home – where a day is like 10,000 years.

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum.
