Linwood Lee Adkins
March 26th, 1962 - July 4th, 2024
Linwood Lee Adkins, 62, of Forest, VA, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Born March 26, 1962, in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Linwood Jimmy and Carolyn Keesee Adkins Wade. He was a faithful member of Inglewood Baptist Church and retired from Mid Atlantic Tire Distribution. He is survived by one son, Chad Lee Adkins (Taylor) of Madison Heights, VA; three sisters, Anita A. Semmont of Forest, VA, Cindy Spencer (Mike) of Forest, VA and Debbie Bryan (Ray) of Goode, VA; two brothers, Adam Wade of FL and his special brother from "another mother”, Alan Womack (Sharon) of Forest, VA and several nieces and nephews; one grandchild, Winston Adkins of Madison Heights; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Charlie and Olivia Adkins.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM at Inglewood Baptist Church, 4830 Old Boonsboro Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24503 on Saturday, July 13, 2024 with Rev. Kathy Nicholls and Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. There will be a time of visitation with food immediately after the service in the church fellowship hall.
