Lois F. Chillington, 80, of Port Charlotte formerly of North Port, Florida died Thursday January 22, 2009. Mrs. Chillington was born October 18, 1928 in Stamford, CT to Robert and Frances (Huntsman) W. H. Scofield. She moved to this area from Corinna, ME and Darien, CT in 1989. Mrs. Chillington retired as a medical administrator for Dr. John S. Poczabut in Stamford, CT. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, past member of Trinity United Methodist Women, Friends of the Library and North Port Writer’s Group, all of North Port, FL. She is survived by her son, Richard G. Chillington of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Hope K. Kocian of Osprey, FL; her brother, Alan Scofield of Austin, TX; her grandchildren, Richard G. Chillington, III and Carolyn Chillington both of Atlanta, GA.
