February 27th, 1925 - December 8th, 2009
Lois H. Stewart-Wright, age 84, a winter resident of North Port and native of Virginia, died on December 8, 2009. She was born in Victoria, Virginia on and started visiting in North Port 10 years ago. Lois worked for Home Beneficial Insurance in Richmond Virginia for many years before retiring. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in North Port. She loved helping people and volunteered at The Pines Nursing Home. Lois also enjoyed dancing and singing in the Holiday Park Chorus. She is survived by her husband, John Wright, of North Port and Virginia; son Doug Stewart of Cary, North Carolina; daughters Elaine Stewart of North Port and Sheila Stewart of Richmond; and brothers Tyree Harris of Montpelier, VA, and Thomas Harris of Chase City, VA. A memorial service will be held locally at a later date. Burial will be in Virginia. Farley Funeral Home is in charge of local services.
