WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Lois Hallman Waites, 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Cayce United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Michael Henderson and the Rev. Susan Culler. Interment will follow in Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ashley Farr, Perry Rinehart, Jim Ott, Henry Kaiser, Ricky Waites and Kevin Rinehart. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cayce United Methodist Church, Kitchen Fund, 1600 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033 or to a charity of one""'s choice. Mrs. Waites, loving wife of the late Frank E. Waites, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 26, 2010. Born in Lexington, SC, she was the daughter of the late Perry Hampton and Ethel Hallman. She had retired from AT&T after 45 years of service. After retirement she was employed with Hertz Rent a Car for 10 years. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother; always thinking of everyone before herself. Her family will love and cherish her always. Survivors are her daughter, Debra Waites; grandchild, Ashley Farr (Angela); sisters, Melba Price and Shirley Bundrick (Richard); and brother, Larry Hallman (Katherine). Mrs. Waites was preceded in death by sisters, Estelle Rinehart, Ruth McCravy, Gladys Hornsby, Lola Anderson, Myrtle Snipes, Floy Taylor and Reba Laflen; brothers, J.T. Hallman, Horace Hallman, Guy Hallman, P.H. Hallman Jr. and Charles Hallman. The family would like to extend special thanks to the people at Tri-County Home Health and Brian Center for the love and care they gave during the last few weeks of her life.
