Lorraine Scheck, 101 years old, passed away on June 28, 2024. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 5, 1922, the youngest of twelve siblings. Lorraine graduated from Schurz High School. She married William Scheck on January 24, 1942, and they lived happily together until his passing on April 17, 1982.
Lorraine worked as a bookkeeper for Scheck and Siress Prosthetics & Orthotics for 20 years. She moved to Sarasota, FL with husband Bill Scheck upon his retirement from Scheck & Siress Prosthetics & Orthotics in Oak Park, IL.
She loved to see the world of others! Lorraine explored many countries and gathered a wealth of knowledge.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Ronald Scheck; daughter-in-law Michele Scheck; granddaughters Stephanie Scheck Prince and Lorie Scheck Cormier; great-grandchildren Alyssa Prince, Taylor Cormier, and Coy William Prince; nephew Ricky Peters (Nancy); nieces Karen Scheck Waldersen (Terry), and Corrie Scheck Craig (Steven). She is also survived by Jeorgia Peters, and Steven and Michael Peters, the wife and two children of nephew Kevin Peters, who preceded Lorraine in death.
