Lou Ann Dunbar, 85, passed into the arms of the Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born in 1925 in Duluth to Lulu Gross. She was raised in Mahtowa by her mother and step-father, Gub Gross. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Diana Doreen Rogers; daughter, Tamara Dawn Dunbar; granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Bergstrom and a grandson, Mark Steven Anderson. Lou Ann is survived by her daughters, Dianne Mayorga of Waukesha, WI, Lori Rogers Kull (Arvid) of Dassel, MN and Crystal Lundberg of Duluth; sons, David Rogers of Juneau, AK, Danny (Nancy) Rogers of Esko, Stephen Boone of Humble, TX and Michael Boone of Lubbock, TX; many blessed grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her church family at Grace Baptist in Cloquet for their unending love and fellowship and to the wonderful and caring staff at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton for the precious care that was given our mother over the past four years. Memorial Services were held on Monday, February 7, 2011 in Inter-Faith Care Center Chapel with Pastor Doug Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Baptist Church. A private family inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Barnum at a later date.
