Louetta Mae Ivey
January 2nd, 1938 - April 17th, 2024
Louetta Mae Ivey, 86, of Lake Wales, Florida went to be with Jesus in the early morning hours before sunrise on April 17, 2024. She fell asleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus. Louetta was born to Charles Snider and Jewel Biles Snider Shaw on January 2, 1938 in Lowry City, MO. She moved to Dundee, Florida in 1954, where she met and married the love of her life Broadwell Leo Ivey on December 13, 1954. It was in Dundee that she began to build a life and family, together with her husband and four children (Randy, Joey, Marsha, and Kim). Throughout the years, Louetta worked at various canning plants as a fruit sectionizer, but her true passion was caring for those around her. She had a beautiful soul that loved unconditionally. You could always find her cooking for her family and loving on her grandbabies giving the best back scratches. She was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Louetta was preceded in death by her husband, Broadwell Leo Ivey, her sons Randy Leo Ivey and Joey Lynn Ivey, her daughter-in-law Thelma Lynn Ivey, her son-in-law J.R. Mayne, grandson Toy Leo Ivey, sister Udora “Tudy” Kalwei, and brothers Terry and Larry Snider. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Mayne and Kimberly Strickland, 10 grandchildren (Chad, Brandi, Crystal, Shane, Michael, Megan, Hunter, Timbra, Laura, and Misty), 21 great grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters. Louetta “Lou” “Momma” “MawMaw” “Sissy” will be missed dearly.
