Louise Franklin Evenson
March 25th, 1912 - November 17th, 2004
Louise Franklin Evenson, 92, Cloquet, died peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in Inter-Faith Care Center. She was born March 25, 1912 in Cloquet, the daughter of George and Lorena (LeVassaur) Franklin. Louise was a 1931 graduate of Cloquet High School. She married Clarence "Ike" Evenson on October 31, 1941 in Cloquet. Louise worked for Northwest Paper following high school and after her marriage she worked for Raiter Pharmacy. She then was employed as a hearing and vision screening technician for the State of Minnesota for more than 20 years. Louise enjoyed traveling, reading and playing cards. Louise's life was lived sharing family traditions and she was the proud leader of four generations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Ike"' one sister, Evelyn Phelps and two brothers, Raymond and Clifford Franklin. Louise was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Anne (David) Dresser of Roseville and Cindy (Jack) Gunderson of Deer River; a sister, Beatrice Yanda of Cloquet; six grandchildren, Barbie (Craig) Ankrum, Debbie (Vern) Bryce, Corry (Cheryl) Gunderson, Ryan (Barb) Gunderson, Steven (Sheila) Unzen and Troy (Angie) Gunderson; 14 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Dale Phelps and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Louise's family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton and St. Mary's Hospice for their tender and loving care provided to Louise. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, November 19, 2004 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet. Memorials may be made to Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton or to the giver's choice.
