November 12th, 1951 - November 9th, 2023
Lowell Steven Severson, 71, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Sienna Crest in Fort Atkinson. Lowell was born on November 12, 1951 in Fort Atkinson to Leonard and Vera (Raether) Severson. He grew up on his family farm and had spent his life farming. Farming was his hobby and his work. He met Judy Oshel in 1970 and later married at East Koshkonong Church on November 10, 1973. Together they had three children. His true passion was farming and believed his job was to leave the land better than when he received it. Lowell also enjoyed tinkering with his Farmall 300 tractor. In his later years, he enjoyed riding his golf cart, throughout the farmland. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Lowell is survived by his wife, Judy Severson; children, Jennifer (Jason) Moresco, Jake Severson; grandchildren, Carissa Moresco, Libby Moresco; sisters, Carolyn Putz, Gloria (Gary)Fruit; brothers-in-law, Buddy Oshel, Jim (Rhonda) Oshel; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Vera Severson; and son, Lenny Severson. Private graveside services are being held at East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Sienna Crest and Rainbow Hospice staff for their exceptional care for Lowell. Donations can be made in Lowell’s name to Rainbow Hospice Care in Jefferson.

We Entrusted Lowell Severson's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
